In July of 2016, electro-pop four-piece, Ceilings released their impassioned, untamed debut, “Animals”; a song that (in our opinion) deserved loads more attention than it received. From the get-go, it was clear that this band were already on the road to carving an extraordinarily distinct sound.
Their new double-A side, ‘Slow Motion’ sees the band mature all of the strong aspects present in their initial releases while flexing the span of their sound into new musical territories. The first and strongest track of the two, “Forever Dear”, is a tumultuous journey that snaps in and out of familiar, warm guitars and abrasive synths while the second, “Some Other Kind” brings more attitude and consistency to the table.
With both songs complimenting each other greatly, we’re very excited to hear what’s next from Ceilings.
