Jack River continues to prove, day in and day out, that she’s not just your ordinary alt-pop star. Jumping into the fast line, in hot pursuit of album number two, River has simultaneously unveiled the second single from her forthcoming record, the accompanying film clip and announced that she’ll be heading on a national tour in March.

Following on from the successful release of “Fool’s Gold”, “Fault Line” is a tantalising, dark pop number set to follow a similar trajectory. Riding through the verses on feathery guitar plucks and a patient beat, River lulls the listener before breaking out of her shell on the electrifying hook to express a rainbow of emotions.

River explains,Β “I was in a really dark time in my world, I wanted to capture the fragility of walking around your mind in the dark, and then exploding into emotion and regret when your surface…”.Β
