At four studio albums in, Kim Churchill has become one of Australia’s most recognisable voices. With album number five ‘Weight_Falls’ due out this August 25, and a huge east coast tour around the corner, momentum is at a peak for the multi-instrumentalist.

“Second Hand Car” follows lead single “Breakneck Speed” with a crooning chorus, riding rhythm, and slick harmonica interlude to boot. Shot in Melbourne’s St. Kilda, the surrealist-style visuals for the catchy cut show Churchill behind his guitar, weaving through the rooms of a candle-lit house.

Speaking of the clip, Churchill says, “Jeff Johnston, the director, had the idea to use specific visual themes and bounce off the music and lyrics of the track. The hundreds of tea cups in the kitchen scene represent the morning routines of an entire love affair. The piles and piles of suitcases represent an unrelenting desire to move on.”
