Prep For A Very Sweaty Xmas With Indian Summer’s Favourite Sweat It Out Releases

Dance music lovers all around Australia know that a club night with Indian Summer at the helm is a certified good time.

Over the last few years, the Melbourne duo have cut their teeth behind the decks in iconic venues around the nation, building an impressive catalog of heaving original bangers and viral remixes all along the way. If these two haven’t converted you to their cause just yet, give their massive ‘Late Night’ EP or their more recent Lastlings collab “Love Like This” and you’ll understand why they’ve caught the attention of heavyweights, experts and diehard fans amongst the Australian dance music scene.

Indian Summer are key members of the iconic Sweat It Out clan, which is also home to a host of other local favs like Crooked Colours, Yolanda Be Cool, Torren Foot, The Aston Shuffle, Dom Dolla and so many more. On Saturday night, all those legends and more from the Sweat It Out family will link up with the Maker Agency team and Youth Off The Streets for another unforgettable instalment of their Very Sweaty Xmas series. With an eye-watering lineup and promises of extra special surprises, the whole crew will ring in the festive season on Saturday night (9th December) for a loose/10 night at the Marrickville Bowling Club. As always, the whole affair will honour the late Sweat It Out founder and legendary local icon AJAX – Youth Off The Streets was his family’s own personal charity of choice for the event, so these impending good times are also for a very good cause.

To gear us all up for the upcoming sweaty Saturday session, we asked the Indian Summer lads to take a trip down memory lane and pick out some of their favourite Sweat It Out releases from over the years.

1. GAMEBOY/GAMEGIRL – “SWEATY WET / DIRTY DAMP”

“I believe this was off the first ever release on Sweat It Out, and I still love it to this day. There’s scarcely a road trip that goes by without this tune being turned up to 10. Shout out to fellow Melburnians DJ Tranter and the Gamegirls.”

2. TWINSY – “BACK OF MY CAR”

“Fell in love with this release when it came out. There was nothing out there that sounded quite like it at the time. Twinsy’s first EP is the perfect mix of party and brooding introspection.”

3. LUMI – “TASTE OF LIFE (AJAX REMIX)”

“Apart from being a gifted DJ and exceptional tastemaker – label head AJAX (rest in peace) was always amazing at finding captivating, left-of-centre artists to sign to the label and remix. His take on ‘Taste Of Life’ from Lebanese duo Lumi is the perfect example of this in action.”

4. RÜFUS – “YOU WERE RIGHT”

“Tough to find words to describe how much I love this one; beautifully simple and catchy vocals teamed up with elegant, gorgeous production – how can you go wrong?”

5. POLOGRAPHIA – “SLY (FEAT. WINSTON SURFSHIRT)”

“I’ve known the Polographia lads for nearly 10 years now, and every new release they come out with surprises and delights. In 2017 the lads continue to confidently plant their flag while solidifying their sound – their latest tune “Heart Attack” with Rush Midnight is a jam!”
