There’s a lot to love about Tigertown. Ever since the breakout success of their 2015 EP ‘Lonely Cities’, the Sydney four-piece have been cementing a place in both the Australian and international music scene with their penchant for arena-primed pop anthems and live shows bursting with an infectious energy and chemistry.

Today, Chris, Charlie, Alexi and Elodie have returned with a powerful progression of the absorbing sound we heard last year on their ‘Papernote’ EP. “Warriors” unites everything we all love about Tigertown – epic singalong choruses, carefully-orchestrated synth lines and pulsating beats – for the band’s most cohesive, fully-formed single yet. Lyrically, the song captures the perspectives of a potential couple with dreams of an idealised love they can’t quite seem to actualise amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As always with Tigertown, the chorus is the real clincher: “I don’t care if this is real / I’ll do anything to feel / ‘Cos I love you when I’m dreaming.” Just like with “Lonely Cities” and “Papernote”, you’ll find yourself humming that key hook in your head for weeks on end.

If you’re heading to Tove Lo‘s Splendour sideshows here in Australia, you can catch “Warriors” live – the Tigertown fam are on support duties in both Sydney and Melbourne:
