Just a year on from his acclaimed 2016 EP ‘Prima Donna’ and a few months on from dropping his fiery single “BagBak”, Vince Staples has hip hop fans in a frenzy with news of his sophomore album AND a killer new video.

In an exclusive interview with Zane Lowe, Vince has revealed that his second LP ‘Big Fish Theory’ is set to drop June 23 via BlackSmith, ARTium and Def Jam. His brand new single “Big Fish” is imbued with the same punchy energy and brutally honest bars we heard in “BagBak”; lines like “It’s funny I was going crazy not too long ago / Women problems every morning like the Maury show” and “Swimming upstream while I’m tryna keep my bread / From the sharks make me wanna put the hammer to my head” build on Vince’s established style and play perfectly into a reverb-drenched chorus courtesy of Juicy J.

The video for “Big Fish” also fits right into the Vince Staples wheelhouse. Perched on a sinking boat, Vince powers through the snappy, visceral track amidst an ocean spread as far as the eye can see. The man can do no wrong.

Here’s the official artwork – we’ll keep you posted on all things ‘Big Fish Theory’ in the coming weeks:
